Youth Music Ministry

The youth of First Presbyterian Church are integral in helping to provide music for worship and special events throughout the year. All students in 6th -12th graders are invited to participate, regardless of experience or skill. Below is the "school year" schedule.

YOUTH CHOIR

Rehearses Sundays, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Our students describe Youth Choir as: “A place for laughter, a place for song, a place for worship, a place to belong.” The Youth Choir is a vocal ensemble for students in 6th - 12th grade. We share our anthems in worship several times during a semester and take part in service projects that help our church and the community. Our goal is to build musical skills while cultivating friendships and faith. All are welcome, and membership in the church is not required. Fun will be had and great music will be made! MIDDLE SCHOOL HANDBELL CHOIR  

Rehearses Sundays, 6 - 6:45 p.m., September thru May. 
6th- 8th graders of all skill levels are invited to come ring handbells with this group.  No experience is necessary, although if you play an instrument in school, then you will very quickly become a leader in handbells! This ensemble provides music for Sunday worship and special services several times throughout the year. HIGH SCHOOL HANDBELL CHOIR

Rehearses Sundays, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
The group is for 9th-12th graders who want to take their musical skills to the next level.  High School ringers will prepare for Worship several times each year, participate in community performances when safe to do so, and combine with the adult bell group for special events.  Please register for this group by clicking the button at the top of the page.  For more information, please contact Music Associate, Rebecca Sawyer, 817.335.1231, ext. 253.
