YOUNG ADULTS ON SUNDAY MORNINGS

YOUNG ADULT CHURCH SCHOOL CLASS
Sundays at 10 a.m., Room 234
Young adults are defined less by their age and more by their experiences and interests. This group meets weekly for honest and challenging conversations about how faith and life intersect throughout the many challenges through our 20’s and 30’s. An introduction to Presbyterian Theology is on tap for the fall semester of 2024.

YOUNG FAMILIES CHURCH SCHOOL CLASS
Sundays at 10 a.m., Room 230 (for adults with young children)
Being parents of young children comes with unique challenges, but the call and desire to be faithful disciples remains. You love this parenthood thing, but it can be tough. This class offers an opportunity to be together with others who understand and seek opportunities to think and grow in faith together. The group will be exploring The Walk by Adam Hamilton in the fall of 2024.

YOUNG ADULT MID-WEEK GATHERINGS

YOUNG ADULT SERVICE GROUP

3rd Thursday Choice Pantry: The First Pres Young Adults (YAs) host an evening Choice Pantry at Community Crossroads each month. The group gathers for a light dinner and to set up for the Choice Pantry at 5:30 p.m. The pantry is open from 6–7:30 p.m.  All volunteers are required to complete the Civil Rights Training course. Additionally, a Food Handlers Certificate is helpful. For questions regarding training courses, please contact Eric Varnon, 817.335.1231.

5th Wednesday Bingo Night: In partnership with Worship on Wednesday (WOW!) at Community Crossroads, young adults gather to build relationships and have fellowship with neighbors following worship and dinner each month that has a 5th Wednesday. In 2024 we will host Bingo Night this fall on October 30.

Community and World Partnerships: In addition to the above opportunities with Community Crossroads, the Young Adult service group engages with other community partners including Trinity Habitat for Humanity, Opal Lee’s Community Garden, The Presbyterian Night Shelter, and more. Check out the young adult calendar below for more details on how we are finding ways to serve.
