Youth Music

The youth of First Presbyterian Church are integral in helping to provide music for worship and special events throughout the year. All students in grades 6-12 are invited to participate, regardless of experience or skill. Below is the "school year" schedule. Learn more about the Youth Ministry at FPC.

2017 Youth Music Party

Messengers Youth Choir

Rehearsals: Sundays, 3:30-4:30 p.m. in Room 244
The Messengers Youth Choir is for youth currently in 6th-12th grades. During the school year, the choir rehearses weekly and sings regularly in both the 9 and 11 a.m. worship services. The group often attends choir festivals and/or goes on choir tours. The Messengers reaches out to the community singing for various groups and incorporates times for fellowship together.

Trinity Ringers (Middle School Bell Choir)

Rehearsals: 6-7 p.m. in Room 245
Middle school students of all skill levels are invite to come ring handbells with this group, directed by Music Associate Becca Sawyer. No experience is necessary, although if you play an instrument in school than you will be more than ready to join in with handbells! This ensemble provides music for Sunday worship and special services several times throughout the year. An emphasis is placed on team building, leadership skills, sharpening music reading skills, and making friends.

It’s a race to escape! Come hang out with Mr. C (Ryan Chatterton), Ms. B (Becca Sawyer) and other Youth Music friends. We’ll divide into teams and have a challenge to see which team can find the clues and unlock the secrets to escape first. Lunch follows in the Food Court at Ridgemar Mall.
